Reporters wanted .. We need people to email in scores on gamenights. The MWL baseball site has quite successfully been using fan game reports for several years. Parents and coaches started sending in recaps because newspaper coverage of high school sports has been shrinking. Want to go beyond the local newspaper and recognize your team and some of the players and great efforts? Find out how... be a reporter.
Remember that old MWL website with standings, all leaguers, stats and more? It died on October 26th as Yahoo no longer provides free websites.

Goal of Midwestern League High School Football Web Site
The goal of the Midwestern League football site is to recognize the efforts of all high school football players in our league.
Coaches, parents, booster club members, statisticians, photographers and announcers all contribute to the web site as a way to help in recognizing our student - athletes.
It is a well known fact in education that students who participate in extracurricular activity in high school graduate at a higher rate than those students who do not participate. I feel strongly that recognizing football players efforts via write-ups, stats, and photos helps keep these student - athletes engaged in the sport.
A fun part of the web site is following football tradition. Sheldon became a state football powerhouse starting in 2000. But did you know that they already had sent three four players on to the pros, three of whom played in Super Bowls?
If you have some football history you would like to share, please contact me using the "Contact Us" link in the menu at the top of the page. I am particularly interested in:
photos, old team stat sheets, all stars, all league, all state and summer state all star game players players who went on to play in college or pros (NFL, NFL Europe, CFL, UFL, Arena, etc). MWL players who have trading cards, team win and loss records, old scorebooks up in the attic
players who played college ball
players who were drafted
I'd like to thank all of those who have helped with emailing or texting scores on game nights, writing articles, and those who have sent in photos and stats. I'm sure it is rewarding for the players.
Finally, thanks to all of the coaches for being supportive. I try to stay out of their way, but I do take up some of their time asking for rosters and stats and permission to shoot photos from dangerous locations.
In the future, I'd like to add more information about football camps, training techniques and programs like SPARQS, scholarships and more about the next level - junior colleges, universities, and the pros. But for now, my hands are full just keeping up with the regular season.
