Comparison Games

Are games against a common opponent a good indicator of what is to come when league play starts? I think so, although some times the 'matchups' are very important. For example, if a common opponent is a dominant rushing team and the MWL tems playing them aren't particularly good at stopping the run, what have we learned? We should beat schools that are smaller and lose to teams that are larger, shouldn't we? After all, the more students in the student body the more a coach has to work with.
