2010 Record:
League 2-13
Overall 6-16-1
PRE - LEAGUE
Marshfield opens league play Tuesday the 15th against Coquille. As of March 1st, the Pirate pre-league schedule consists of just four games, all against 4A and 3A teams. Marshfield also has Siuslaw scheduled during the first week of league games on a day they would normally have a bye.
Pitching must improve this year for the Pirates. They lost some senior pitchers which will give some new faces a great opportunity. They'll need to grow quickly in their pre league games.
LEAGUE
The Pirates hope to climb out of the cellar this year. It's likely that they'll once again spoil one of the top team's seeding by catching them off guard.
The Pirates finish each round with North Eugene, South Eugene and Thurston. There aren't really any soft spots in the rest of the league, and the final three games of each round will be against defending state champions North Eugene and then 6A teams South Eugene and Thurston.
